New York, NY, November 7, 2005 – CloudFirst (www.dscorp.net) has received certification under the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2000 for both its corporate organization and the Network Operations Center. Data Storage is one of the first in the field of on line data backup and disaster recovery whose processes and procedures have been evaluated and awarded ISO 9001:2000.
“We made a commitment to achieve ISO certification, and are proud to be recognized for our efforts”, said Charles Piluso, President and Chief Executive Officer of CloudFirst. “This is an outstanding symbol of the kind of quality and reliability we strive to deliver to each of our customers and Channel Partners.”
The International Organization for Standardization, or ISO, is a network of national standards institutes of some 140 countries. This initial certification marks the first completion of an aggressive internal audits campaign to establish, maintain and verify compliance with the stringent ISO standards.
CloudFirst began working towards corporate organization certification during early October 2004, when responsibilities were assigned, a timeline established and written procedures developed by the team of Gino Civale, V.P. Business Development and Kerri Zezulinski, Client Relations Manager. International Management Systems Marketing, known for its work as an ISO “coach,” assisted CloudFirst in the process of meeting the rigorous requirements.
ISO 9001 has become an international reference for quality requirements in business-to-business dealings, specifically in management systems. It is arguably the most important quality management standard in use today. In any organization, it controls quality and brings clear financial benefits. It also gives customers a high degree of confidence and assists in keeping the organization ahead of its competitors.
