Garden City, N.Y. – April 18, 2011 – Data Storage Corporation (DSC), a provider of data protection and business continuity solutions through its DSC DR, DSC HA and DSC Vaulting products; today announced that its executive vice president, Peter Briggs, was invited to speak at the 2011 TUG U2U Conference in Orlando, Fla. in March. Briggs led two breakout sessions during the conference titled “Why Gamble with Your Business Data”. The sessions addressed industry drivers of data protection and the pitfalls and misconceptions of most data protection and recovery plans.
The TUG U2U Conference is an annual event held by TheUserGroup.org (TUG), an independent software users group which serves the owners of distribution software sold by Infor (i.e. Infor ERPs A+, commerce@work, Enspire, FACTS, TakeStock, SX.enterprise, and SHIMS). DSC was an official sponsor of this year’s conference, which aims to showcase emerging technology and trends as well as displaying industry-innovative products from a select set of vendors.
“Data protection is an issue that every organization must address,” said Briggs. “This conference was an excellent platform to hold such a discussion as the users of Infor’s software must be able to protect and recover their valuable data used to run their businesses. The Q&A part of the sessions provided real-life scenarios and practical steps to help Infor users better protect their data and our client, Callico Distributors, was able to share their success with our DSC/DR product during the first session.”
