Chuck Piluso co-founded Data Storage Corporation in June 2001. The objective: to build an organization that provides a high level of client support and satisfaction for their business continuity and regulatory requirements. Today, 90% of our clients renew their agreements after their three year term. We continue to explore new solutions and software continually to provide the best solutions and support in the industry today.
Prior to DSC, founded North American Telecommunication Corporation, a facilities-based Competitive Local Exchange Carrier licensed by the Public Service Commission in ten states, serving as the company’s chairman and president from 1997 to 2000.
Between 1990 and 1997, he served as chairman & founder of International Telecommunications Corporation, a facilities-based international carrier licensed by the FCC and grew the company to 135 employees and revenue of 170 million dollars. The company had operations and agreements in many countries including Russia, Israel, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Dominican Republic, Chile and Canada. By 1995, ITC became the fifth largest facilities-based international carrier in the USA. Shortly thereafter, with a new investor, Ronald S. Lauder, the company name was changed to RSL Communications. In 1997, RSL’s IPO was priced at 800 million dollars; he exited prior to the IPO to enter the CLEC industry.
Chuck PIluso’s career in technology and telecommunications began in 1978 when he joined ITT Corporation’s Telephone Equipment Division. Over the years, he held positions from telephone equipment sales, sales management in ITT’s long distance division, managing a group of over 100 sales representatives, to product and business development. In 1984, he left ITT to become the regional general manager for United Technologies Communications Corporation, for the New York marketplace.
Currently, Mr. Piluso serves on the Board of Governors at Saint John’s University and served on the Board of Trustees of Molloy College for twelve years.
