A solutions provider of virtualization and storage is reporting Business is great and they need to add a Pre-Sales Engineer to keep up with business demands. If you have the desire to be in sales and keep your technical skills relevant this is the position you. Exciting opportunity for a sales engineer to provide technical support to sales team and the One to help close the deal. Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical knowledge to potential customers by accompanying account managers on customer meetings
- Design appropriate solutions based on clients specific business needs
- Support sales team efforts by delivering technical presentations and demonstrations
- Develop proof-of-concepts as required during the sales process
- Follow-up with client as needed after every sale to build a lasting relationship
- Partner with the sales team to identify sales requirements by establishing a personal rapport with technical influencers and decision makers
- Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to design complete end to end solutions
- Maintain technical skills by attending educational workshops and reviewing vendor publications
Job Requirements/Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Information Systems/Technology sales and or engineering role
- Well rounded understanding of technology including networking, storage, backup, business continuity and virtualization
- In depth knowledge of at least one of the following vender products: VMware, EMC, NetApp, Cisco and Microsoft
- Must be detailed oriented and willing to work as part of a team
- Must be customer service oriented and the ability to multitask
- This person will have experience providing White board and PowerPoint presentations to Senior Executives and decision makers
